Where's Waldo? Scavenger Hunt in Downtown Knoxville
Waldo Scavenger Hunt
Waldo is back!
And it's bigger than ever before! Put on your striped shirt and black-rimmed specs (optional, of course) and come for a good old-fashioned scavenger hunt in Downtown Knoxville.
In more than 3 dozen downtown locations.
Visit any of the participating locations during the month of July to pick up your Waldo Passport. Then, start hunting high and low! Collect a store stamp at each Waldo sighting...and keep up the search.
Diligent seekers collecting twenty or more stamps can enter to win Waldo books at Union Ave Books, the Waldo Host Location. The first 250 spotters can also claim a Found Waldo Knox sticker.
New this year!
Look for the Found Waldo Knox photo op in Market Square. Share your photos—at photo op or from any part of your scavenger hunt journey—for weekly chances to win gift cards to the participating business of your choice (social accounts must be public to win).

Knoxville Walking Tours
Storyteller Laura Still helps you live the stories of pioneers, soldiers, outlaws, and even fictional characters who walked these streets before you.
Knoxville has a rich history full of colorful characters and famous, and infamous, figures whose lives have been the inspiration for books, movies, and works of art. Take a stroll through history in beautiful downtown Knoxville while listening to true tales of the heroes, heels, and hardened criminals that are part of the hidden lore of this unique East Tennessee town.
A portion of the proceeds for downtown tours go to help fund the work of the non-profit Knoxville History Project. Many stories are based on the books and stories of award-winning journalist and writer Jack Neely. Knoxville Walking Tours opens a window to Knoxville’s varied past and leads you on a journey through both hard times and high times of a city growing through over two centuries of history.
