This year, our Handcrafters Fair is shaping up to be the biggest one yet! Showcasing the talents of more than 30 local artisans from the Smoky Mountain Region and beyond, we are proud to display a cornucopia of unique, handmade and handcrafted goods. Rest assured, there won’t be a single mass-produced item in sight!

We eagerly await your presence on Saturday, November 11th. Please remember, while the Fair itself is free to enter, we highly recommend bringing enough funds to indulge in the rich, diverse selection of crafts and goods. Saturday, November 11th at The Birdhouse. This year, we are partnering with The Birdhouse to pay 3 exhibiting artists a $100 honorarium. EATE is so special because artists get to present their work while engaging with an audience in an intimate conversational setting. The event was a pivotal moment for our emerging artists last year, and we’re excited to present it again!

Meet the artists, enjoy unique locally created arts, buy unique Holiday gifts, and enjoy refreshments and treats. We have new art by many of our returning artists and new ones also in our Gallery. The Gallery and Studios will be displaying the work of thirty-four artists and have the working studios of four artists open. The work will include fine art and gifts of drawings, fiber arts, jewelry, mixed media, painting, photography, pottery, stained and fused glass, and woodworking.

Delve into the intersection of creativity and identity at the McClung Museum's Family Fun Day on November 11! Explore art and photography through hands-on activities and crafts for families of all ages.

Learn about the the historical process of tintype photography with local artist Kelsey Dillow, craft with art teacher Hannah Fuller, watch an on-site demonstration of shell carving with multi-media artist Nancy Pheasant (Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians), and explore the world of cartoon creation with Jakeli Swimmer (Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians). Spanish tours available 1:30-2:30 p.m.
