Historic House Museums of Knoxville host movies as part of their collaborative program, Movies at the Museums! Enjoy four different movies outdoors at four different historic house museums. From rousing, supernatural escapades and magical childhood classics to silly animation and fast-paced action, each historic house museum will show a different film for audiences to enjoy while also taking in the unique landscapes of the historic site. Admission is FREE for each movie, but donations are greatly appreciated to support each museum’s preservation mission. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets, or other items to make their time there comfortable. Concessions will be available at each museum. Please see each individual museum's respective event pages for more details on the movies, concessions, and any special activities happening at their site!

Grounds open at 7:30pm and movies begin at dark (~8:15pm, movie start times are not exact). Locations change for each movie so be sure to check the exact address for each house museum. Dogs are allowed, but must be on leash at all times. In case of inclement weather, a rain plan will be posted on the museums event page and social media outlets.

September 6th @ Mabry-Hazen House: The Mummy (1999) presented by Borderland Tees
The Mummy is a rousing, suspenseful, and horrifying epic about an expedition of treasure-seeking explorers in the Sahara Desert in 1925. Stumbling upon an ancient tomb, the hunters unwittingly set loose a 3,000-year-old legacy of terror, which is embodied in the vengeful reincarnation of an Egyptian priest who had been sentenced to an eternity as one of the living dead. (Rated PG-13)
