"In 'A Better Place,' I explore a realm between reality and imagination using bold colors and idealized landscapes. For each piece, I selected a limited palette - aiming to evoke emotions and bring viewers to a serene and dreamier place. These places occupy a space between real geographical locations and a fleeting daydream. The inspiration for this series comes from the need for escape during the mundane moments of the day. These paintings were created as a sort of mental sanctuary, a landscape for the mind to inhabit when it needs an escape from the grind of life." – Ame Houston
