A Midsummer Night's Dream will be directed by Amy Hubbard- the Artistic Director of the Actors Co-op - and Hamlet by Tennessee Stage Artistic Director Tom Parkhill.
Played on a rough replica of the new Globe Theatre in London (a reconstruction of Shakespeare's original theatre) the plays will be presented in the timeless style of Elizabethan Theatre presentations.
The Tennessee Stage Company encourages our audience to spend an evening on the Square: do a little shopping, have a nice dinner, see the play and maybe stop into a pub afterward. All of this and more is available on Market Square nightly. So come early and see the Square!

Bijou Theatre: Kasey Chambers & Shane Nicholson
Category: Music
From the moment you hear the opening lines of Rattlin' Bones, the first song that husband-and-wife team Kasey Chambers and Shane Nicholson wrote together, you know you are in the presence of something special. For Chambers, it's a return to a sound that draws deep on the roots of country music, a place where joy and sorrow walk close at hand. You also realize, after you've heard all 14 tracks, this is an album that can sit proudly on the shelf beside classics from the likes of Gram Parsons, Emmylou Harris and Gillian Welch. This pair makes premium-grade alt-country music, the kind that burrows into your subconscious and sets up housekeeping. Hear it yourself on Saturday, August 15 at the Bijou Theatre. 865-522-0538, www.knoxbijou.com
