At Chilhowee Park on October 2, 2021 (new date). This will be our 3rd year in the area. The Water Lantern Festival loves to support and help local arts and cultural establishments in the area. We have had great success with other areas. In doing so we have set up a way for an organization to make money.

The Water Lantern Festival is committed to creating a positive event for families, friends, and strangers to come together to celebrate life, love, remembrance, unity, and peace. In 2019 and 2020 the Water Lantern Festival was voted by USA Today readers as the #1 Cultural Event of the year!

Each Water Lantern Festival event is held at unique venues with beautiful landscapes. Our incredible team spends months planning and curating every detail to create the best festival layout and experience.

The Water Lantern Festival includes local vendors, food trucks, and musicians. Attendees are encouraged to participate in share touching stories until the culmination of the event at sunset. At that time, they release their personally decorated lanterns onto the water.
