When Parts of the Body Go Missing, Can We Bring Them Back?
Friday, Sept. 17 at 12 PM via Zoom

Catastrophic injuries are common in military and civilian settings. These injuries threaten lives and limbs and can result in permanent debilitation. Restoration of mobility and function can improve quality of life and offer hope and inspiration. When limbs are at risk of permanent loss, we reach to science to figure out how to regenerate tissues and rebuild structure. David E. Anderson, associate dean of the UT College of Veterinary Medicine and his team work diligently to develop technology to regenerate, restore, and rehabilitate injuries and find solutions for animals, soldiers, and civilians. In his presentation, he will travel the path from benchtop to bedside as they seek to solve serious problems and overcome impossible odds. The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required. https://tennessee.zoom.us/meeting/register/tJIlc-qtqTwtHNID2cvkG0yLV0Ib8izYrMur
