The Mill & Mine: Lucero

Memphis has that one distinct flavor loved by many. Yes, dry pork barbecue, but also with music. Hailing from Memphis, Lucero is a American country-punk rock band that threw in some flavors of soul, rock, and country that is distinctly Memphisian. You can always tell when a band is something special when there are four or five words thrown in, usually hyphenated, to describe their sound. Lucero is no exception. They are country, and they are punk rock, and they are a band best loved live. So, get ready for a rowdy night!

Old-Time String Band

Credited for igniting the Old-Time Renaissance in the Pacific Northwest, Foghorn Stringband continues to stand out as the shining gold standard for American Stringband music. Seven albums, thousand of shows and over a decade of touring under their belts, its no surprise they have two entirely new generations of old-time musicians following their lead. Through all of this, theyve never let the music grow cold; instead theyve been steadily proving that American Roots music is a never-ending well of inspiration.

Today Foghorn Stringband features the intertwining harmonies of founding members, Stephen "Sammy" Lind, Caleb Klauder along with powerhouse vocalists, Reeb Willms and Nadine Landry, all of whom bring a wealth of songs, instruments and traditions making them a festival favorite from coast to coast and around the globe.

Tickets (discounts apply to advance purchase, JCA members, students & seniors) available through http://www.brownpapertickets.com/producer/1118485, 800-838-3006 ext 1, by mail, and at the door.
