Monroe Area Council for the Arts: Missoula Children’s Theatre: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

Monroe Area Council for the Arts (MACA) presents another sensational season of performances at Hiwassee College in Madisonville! The Missoula Children’s Theatre presents SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS, an original musical adaptation of the classic fairy tale. A young princess named Show White finds herself in peril when her step-mother, Queen Bella, is told by her Magic Mirror that the princess is fairer than she! Approximately 60 local children in grades K-12 will be cast in the production.
Season ticket prices are $105/Family (living in the same household); $90/couple; and $50/individual. Adults: $10; Students: $5. Music of Scotland & Ireland
Jamie will present a program of traditional music from Scotland, Ireland, Bretagne, Galicea, Quebec, and Appalachia. Winner of the U.S. National Scottish Fiddle Championship (2002), Laval has appeared on the NBC Today Show, has performed for Her Majesty the Queen, and won Best World Traditional Song in the 2007 Independent Music Awards Vox Populi. His recent tour of Scotland found him performing at the Scots Fiddle Festival in Edinburgh and teaching at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. His third album, Murmurs and Drones, is to be released in January.

Bijou Theatre: Godspell
Bethel University is proud to present the Renaissance Theatre Tour of Godspell. Godspell is a fun and exciting story about the life of Jesus and the impact He had on those who followed Him. This series of parables, based on the Gospel of Matthew, will challenge and inspire audiences of all ages. Told through story and song, the life of Christ is illustrated through the company of players or ‘disciples.’ Creative storytelling, choreography, mime, and many forms of theatrical expression make this telling of the passion of the Christ one not to be missed!
