Join the Beaver Ridge MISSIONaires for their 10th annual murder mystery production which promises to be an event of who-dun-it fun. In Murder in the Old Growth Forest, a billionaire land owner hosts a secluded weekend camping outing of colorful characters each vying for ownership of his land. Ulterior motives abound as the unlikely group individually lobbies the billionaire to transfer ownership for their own purposes. Accusations fly when one of the campers turns up dead, leaving the remaining to determine who-dun-it before the land sale can go through. Join in the fun as you become a detective and follow the clues to draw your own conclusions. Prizes for the winning table!

Tickets are on sale for:

- September 24 (Saturday) 6:30 p.m. @ $20 each and include dinner catered by Carrabba's.
- September 25 (Sunday) 2:00 p.m. @ $14 each and include a gourmet dessert.

All funds from the event will be used to further Beaver Ridge’s outreach work, examples include: Local Food Pantry, Appalachia Service Project, Tornado Relief in Cleveland , TN , Food Buckets for Liberia , Mittens for Morgan Scott, School Supply Collection, and many more projects.

First Generation Bluegrass
The Chattanooga based Dismembered Tennesseans, led by champion fiddler Fletcher Bright, was formed in 1945. They have performed from Florida to Washington to Ohio and Colorado and points between, showing their unique music and humor to the world, bluegrass “sung from the heart through the nose.” Regulars at the Laurel Theater, Fletcher is joined by Ed “Doc” Cullis on banjo, bassist and vocalist Laura Walker, multi-instrumentalist Ansley Moses, guitarist and vocalist Bobby Martin, mandolinist Don Cassell, Louie Wamp on dobro, and Fletcher’s son George Bright on flat top guitar.

Hispanic Heritage Month: HoLa Festival 2011

HOLA HORA LATINA proudly presents the HoLa Festival 2011 as part of the annual celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month in Knoxville . Celebrating its 12th edition, the HoLa Festival takes place on West Depot Avenue and Gay Street by Regas Square.

This street fair is a cultural celebration and a colorful tribute to East Tennessee diversity. It was recognized this year by the Tennessee Arts Commission as the Number One Latino Folk Arts Festival in the state.

The festival will feature delicious authentic Latin food, Latin rhythms, traditional music, dances, an International art and craft marketplace. At 2 p.m. the signature “PARADE OF NATIONS” will showcase traditional attire.
