The war in Ukraine is destroying lives and displacing many people. There are lots of folks who can use help right now, especially the children. Come pitch in as we welcome spring with a party at Architectural Antics. Renowned chef Bruce Bogartz will be grilling up some grub so feel free to bring something to add to the potluck dinner. The Thrift Store Scores will be playing tunes and hosting an open jam so bring instruments and join in. This is a free event; donate what you can. Architectural Antics will be donating a portion of its sales on Sat as well. Come have a great time for a good cause!

Yes, it's time to raise your glasses... a toast!
Here's to the release of The Basement Lights first album on Saturday, April 23rd, 2022 AND the release of the first Soft Psychosis album, Evolve. The Basement Lights will release the first of 2 Albums on Saturday, April 23rd. The album will be available on all major streaming platforms and will consist of 10 songs. There will be a listening shindig with an exhibit of sorts - lyrics posted about etc. wine/hor d'oeuvres at The Central Collective 923 N. Central St. Knoxville, TN from 4:30pm to 10:30pm. All are invited to drop in and hang out with the boys!

Smoky Mountain Blues Society: Blues Cruise with Tee Dee Young

The Smoky Mountain Blues Society will once again present live music with its first River Cruise of 2022. The inaugural performance will feature the Tee Dee Young on the Tennessee Riverboat on Sunday, April 24th at 4 pm - 7 pm.

Tee Dee Young, a blues legend in his own time. He has definitely got the blues and he loves "firing down on that guitar". While playing his own unique style of the Blues, his dynamic stage presence, exciting harmony and energy will put you in the mood for dancing!

Tee Dee has been performing and playing for audiences for 54 years. He got his start playing the guitar sitting by the railroad tracks at the early age of 13. What makes Tee Dee unique is the style in which he plays the Blues. Tee Dee's playing and singing are authentic to the genre but oblivious to current industry trends. His guitar is a weapon, wielded with total authority, assailing the listener with his sheer virtuosity!! He writes and perform his own music, while still being able to maintain his originality covering music written by other artist and his love for pleasing his audience, while he's "firing down on that guitar!"

Fashion is fun AND it can be sustainable! Learn how you can get involved and see some amazing looks when Ijams and Natural Alternatives Salon and Spa partner for the inaugural Fleurish: A Sustainable Fashion Event (and Ijams fundraiser!) on April 24, 2022, from 6-9 pm!

Fleurish is a collaborative runway show showcasing how sustainability, conservation, and beauty intertwine with our lives and our future. Local designers are joining forces with local hair and makeup artists to create amazing designs that incorporate sustainable materials.

This event engages the audience in ways we, the average consumers, can make changes to our day-to-day lives while never losing sight of the beauty of nature and the human experience.

Knox County Public Library: Screenings: Rediscovering Fort Sanders

Charles and Terry Faulkner tramped all over Fort Sanders in their quest to discover the precise location of this iconic Civil War battle site. Their efforts were documented on video by Bill and Melissa Sykes. In partnership with the Calvin M. McClung Historical Collection, the resulting documentary will be screened for the first time followed by a conversation with the Faulkners.
