Clayton Center for the Arts: "The Sniper's Nest"
Category: Theatre
November 29-December 2, 2012
Haslam Family Flexible Theatre
Maryville College Theatre Department Presents "The Sniper's Nest" by Lisa Soland
Lisa Soland's new play "The Sniper's Nest" dramatizes the real life love affair between double agent Lee Harvey Oswald and young scientist Judyth Baker during the summer of 1963 in New Orleans. Sparks fly as the two team up in a dark tale of espionage, still, to this day, kept secret from the public for reasons much more sinister than covering up an assassination of a president.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $7 for seniors, MC Theatre alumni and area students. Free for MC students, faculty and staff, although a printed ticket is required for admission. Tickets are on sale now.
For more information contact the Clayton Center Box Office at (865) 981-8590.

RECEPTION
Friday, November 30, 2012
6-9pm
The Capstone course is a requirement for all BFA Studio Art majors. Students take Capstone in the final semester of their BFA degree. During Capstone students engage in a self-initiated research project to demonstrate that a graduating senior has learned and can practice the skills and concepts of a chosen concentration (2D, 3D, 4D). The Capstone also demonstrates the student's ability to intellectualize and articulate issues and ideas about contemporary art. Successful completion of the Capstone course is a requirement of graduation.
The UT Downtown Gallery is excited to present the work of 5 graduating seniors in this year's capstone exhibition: Sarah Crumley, Bill Warden, Kayla Courtoy, Catherine Widner and David Holland.
