Nativity Pageant of Knoxville

Come join us for the 56th annual on Saturday, December 14 at 3pm, Sunday, December, 15 at 3pm, and Monday, December, 16 at 7pm. The floor of the Civic Coliseum will become the towns of Nazareth and Bethlehem as we reenact the birth story of Jesus Christ in a 1 hour production featuring a 150 voice choir, a 150 member cast, a full orchestra, and a stable of live animals. Bring the entire family to celebrate together as we remind ourselves how the Prince of Peace entered this world.
Admission is free.
Doors will open 1 hour prior to show time.

Bring the kids for a magical afternoon with Mrs. Claus on December 14, from 1-3 PM! They’ll get to make a special holiday craft, and listen to a reading of the classic 'Twas the Night Before Christmas. Plus, we have a very special surprise guest—Santa might just stop by for a visit!
We’ll have tea and other delicious drinks to enjoy, so there’s something for everyone!
Local Voices: Author Talks at the Historic Ramsey House is a year-long event that will spotlight a different author each month, providing attendees with a unique opportunity to explore the diverse talents shaping the region's literary landscape. Each month, attendees can expect engaging presentations, discussions, and Q&A sessions with featured authors, providing an enriching experience for writers and book lovers of all ages.
For the month of December, Clement Moore will join us at our Tea & Cocoa with Mrs. Claus event. Mr. Moore will read his treasured story, "The Night Before Christmas".

Christmas at Norris Dam State Park

Come to Norris Dam December 14 for a vintage evening celebrating the Christmas season! This event will feature warm drinks, live folk music, family-friendly crafts, silent auctions, a bonfire, and Santa is planning on making a visit. This free holiday event will be Saturday, December 14th from 5:00pm to 8:30pm at the Lenoir Museum, Grist Mill, and Threshing Barn. Parking will be at the Lenoir Museum, located at 2121 Norris Freeway, with limited handicap accessible parking at the Rice Gristmill.
We will be collecting non-perishable food donations for local Norris food banks. Please consider bringing a canned food item to support your local community.
A silent pie auction will be held from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at the Crosby Threshing Barn! Support Norris Dam State Park and take home a tasty treat; it's a win-win! You do NOT have to be present to win- winners will be announced or called at 7:00pm on the dot!

Kiddos can meet at the bonfire pit in front of the Threshing Barn at 5:30pm, 6:30pm, and 7:30pm to "Read with a Ranger" where one of our Park Rangers will read aloud a Christmas story. The Barn will also house "make your own ornament" stations!
Live music will be in the Lenoir Museum, along with historic crafts.

Mabry-Hazen House: Candlelight

Candlelight Christmas Tours at Mabry Hazen House on Friday, December 13 from 6 pm to 9 pm, and Saturday, December 14 from 5 pm to 8 pm. Tours will be offered every thirty minutes.
See the historic house all lit by candlelight and decorated in a festive mix of historic and modern styles by our docents! Learn about the advent of Victorian Christmas in all its glory, join in classic Victorian parlor games, and celebrate the season with us.
Mabry-Hazen House’s holiday exhibit titled "Holiday Greetings: A Century of Christmas Cards” will return! Nearly 100 years of holiday cards addressed to the Hazen family will be on display for visitors to learn about this sentimental holiday tradition. Reproductions of Christmas cards from the collection will be available for sale.

Knoxville Children's Theatre: The Best Christmas Pageant Ever

In this hilarious Christmas classic, a couple struggling to put on a church Christmas pageant is faced with casting the Herdman kids: probably the most inventively awful kids in history! You won’t believe the mayhem – and the fun – when the Herdman’s collide with the Christmas story head on!
The play is performed by twenty-four talented young actors ages 8 to 16. The cast includes KCT veterans Vivienne Bullard as Imogene Herdman, Mason Cox as Leroy Herdman, Julian Daniel as Ollie Herdman, Desmond Gondo as Claude Herdman and Harper Monday as Gladys Herdman. Mother and Father will be played by Leeland Robbins and Quinton Stiffler respectively, while Luna Chavez will be playing Beth Bradley and Owen Bellamy will be playing Charlie Bradley. Joining them will be Connor Watters as Elmer and Rev. Hopkins, Lydia Komeshak as Mrs. Armstrong, and Chloe Beeler as Mrs. McCarthy. Also featured are KCT veterans Camila Herrera, Hogan Honeycutt, Saha Lau, Caroline Simmons, Sophia Stiffler, and Auden Tatler. Making their KCT debuts in this production are Luke Bounds, Laila Brown, Amelia Carroll, Lola Longmire, Julia Luehrs, and Camden Powell.
The show is directed by guest director Ashlee Latimer and designed by eleven student designers ages 10 to 16. KCT is East Tennessee’s leading producer of plays for children and families.
