Clayton Center for the Arts: The Comedy of Errors

2326.jpg

Category: Theatre

From a 20th Century Classic to a classic of the 16th Century, The Comedy of Errors is one of the early works of the most acclaimed writer of English of every century: William Shakespeare. The key word here is “comedy.” One of his early plays, The Comedy of Errors is a farce, with slapstick, mistaken identity, two sets of twins, near seduction. For those who think a sense of humor began with Meet the Parents and Something about Mary. The Comedy of Errors will be an eye opener, a knee slapper, and a rib tickler. Performed by the acclaimed Acting Company of New York in the Ronald and Lynn Nutt Theatre. Tickets are $14-$24.

Clayton Center for the Arts: 502 East Lamar Alexander Parkway, Maryville, TN 37804. Tickets are available at the Clayton Center Box Office M-F 10AM-6PM or by phone or online: 865-981-8590, www.ClaytonArtsCenter.com
