Dogwood Arts Festival: Art in Public Places

Art in Public Places Knoxville is a monumental installation of large-scale outdoor sculptures by regionally and nationally acclaimed artists. The sculptures enliven downtown Knoxville as well as McGhee Tyson Airport. Awards for the Art in Public Places exhibition will be presented by world-acclaimed sculptor, Allen Peterson. The ceremony will take place at 5:30 p.m. at Nouveau Classics on 128 South Gay Street on April 6.

Dogwood Arts Festival: Regional Fine Art Exhibition

The Regional Fine Art Exhibition showcases the finest artists residing in our region. Progressive emerging and professional artists exhibit their work in a variety of genres to showcase the creativity and talent that our region offers. The exhibition will be at the Emporium Center for Arts and Culture, 100 South Gay Street, Knoxville, TN 37902. The opening reception is from 5-9 p.m. The award ceremony begins at 8 p.m. on April 6.

Dogwood Arts Festival: Student Art Exhibition

The Student Art Exhibition and competition features the creative works of Knoxville’s next generation of artists from area schools K-12. Awards and scholarships are presented to encourage further development of these art students’ artistic aptitude. Awards will be presented at 7 p.m. on April 6. Clayton Center for the Arts – 502 E. Fountain City Art Guild: Spring Show and Sale

Spring at the Fountain City Art Center kicks off with a reception open to the public, Friday, March 30, 6:30 – 8:00 PM. The reception marks the beginning of the Annual Fountain City Art Guild Spring Show and Sale. The show will be judged by Harriet Howell. Awards will be given out at 7:00 PM.
This show will be on exhibit through April 27, as always no admission fee for the viewing public. Also on exhibit through April 27, artwork by students from the Halls area!
We are also offering art related Field Trips, a new program this year! Link to our website through our FaceBook pages. Our hours are: Tu, Th 9-5; W, F 10-5; Sat, 9-1. The director and volunteer staff would be happy to show you around. We have a new exhibit about every 4 weeks, and we’re here to provide the public with a wide variety of visual art experiences. Children's Theater of Knoxville: Spring Theatre Academy

CTK has incorporated an academy approach to our popular classes in creative dramatics, allowing us to offer a broader scope of curriculum, provide more
individualized instruction with smaller classes, and involve as many creative children as possible.
Classes are structured into 3 levels of activity, with each level being a pre-requisite to the following level.
Each class meets for a 6-week term. The cost of the 6-week term is $180. 50% of the term fee is due upon registration, wth the balance due on the first day of class.
All classes now take place at our classroom space at 15 EMORY PLACE.

Knoxville Watercolor Society: “Illuminationsâ€

The Knoxville Watercolor Society presents “Illuminationsâ€â€”a mix of recent transparent watercolor paintings by the Knoxville Watercolor Society. The Show will be in the downstairs gallery of the Knoxville Museum of Art from March 16 to May 6. An opening reception with refreshments will take place on March 25 from 2 to 4 PM. The Museum is open Monday through Saturday from 10 AM to 5 Pm and on Sundays from 1 PM to 5 PM and is located at 1050 Worlds Fair Park Drive.
