Pellissippi State: Annual Music Series

The popular Music Concert Series hosted by Pellissippi State Community College will present 10 performances for 2011-12. On April 12:
Instrumental Ensemble Concert
All performances are offered at no charge. However, donations will be accepted at the door for the Pellissippi State Foundation on behalf of the Music Scholarship fund. During the 2010-11 academic year, the Foundation awarded more than 100 music-related scholarships to more than 80 Pellissippi State students.
Concerts take place in the Clayton Performing Arts Center on the Pellissippi Campus, 10915 Hardin Valley Road . Plenty of free parking is available, and the community is encouraged to attend.
Jubilee Community Arts: Knoxville Square Dance
Category: Dance, movement
JCA presents a series of social dance evenings featuring traditional southern squares, circles, waltzes, and two-steps. Michael Ismerio is the featured caller for the April square dance. Join us for Appalachian square dancing, step dancing, waltzes and more with music by the Hellgrammites.
8 pm at the Laurel Theater with lessons for beginners at 7:30. Admission: General Admission $7, JCA members & students $5.
The Laurel Theater is located on the corner of 16th and Laurel Avenue in the historic Fort Sanders neighborhood of Knoxville near the UT campus.

Tennessee Theatre: Josh Turner

Since his break-through single "Long Black Train," Josh Turner has become a fixture on the stereos of country music fans with four hit studio albums and multiple Grammy nominations. Tickets for his Thursday, April 12 performance, presented by Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, go on sale Friday, February 10 at 10 a.m.

A1 LabArts and The Center for Creative Minds is happy to announce the Knoxville premiere of Highway Robbery, a short film to be screened on April 12, 2012 6:30 - 9 PM, at A1@ The Center for Creative Minds.
Doors open at 6:30 for an opportunity to see the Fruit of the Vine show featuring selections from the personal art collections of John Fairstein and Ardyce Lee.
Four light-hearted short films will be screened starting at 7:30:

Tennessee Theatre: Josh Turner

Josh Turner's rich, low voice makes any song feel sexy, so it's natural that his biggest hits, "Why Don't We just Dance" and "Your Man" have been love songs. Six years after his debut he's become one of the youngest members to be inducted into the Grand Ole Opry. The Hannah, South Carolina native is touring this spring in advance of the release of his upcoming album, Punching Bag.
