The New York Times calls AMERICAN IDIOT "thrilling and emotionally charged, as moving as anything on Broadway!" Based on Green Day’s groundbreaking rock opera of the same name, this daring new musical tells the story of three lifelong friends, forced to choose between their dreams and the safety of suburbia, and features the smash hits "Boulevard of Broken Dreams," "Holiday" and "21 Guns" with direction by Michael Mayer (Spring Awakening), choreography by Steven Hoggett (Black Watch) and orchestrations and arrangements by Tom Kitt (Next to Normal).

An evening of beer, food and art!
Sample featured brews from Tenth and Blake Beer Company. Each specialty beer will be paired with a gastronomic delight from Central Flats and Taps and an artist creating a piece inspired by the beer's logo and story. Artists include: Alison Oaks, Mike Berry, Sarah McFalls, Jessie Van der Laan and Ashley Addair.

A cash bar will be available for any non-brew desires. Tickets are $45.

Victoria Kryah will lead two "make and take" sessions to create a "zine" (small, personal magazine) during the opening. Sessions will be held at 7:30 and 8 PM. While materials will be provided, you may elect to bring a few images of your own to personalize your zine. The event is free and open to the public.

Knoxville Children's Theatre: Sarah, Plain And Tall

The play is based on the Newberry Medal-winning novel by Patricia MacLachlan. Ashlee Latimer will direct the play.

The play is set in the western United States during the late 19th century. Jacob Witting, a widowed farmer who is still saddened by the death of his wife during childbirth several years earlier, finds that the task of taking care of his farm and two children, Anna and Caleb, is too difficult to handle alone. He writes an ad in the newspaper for a mail-order bride. Sarah, from Maine, answers his ad and travels out to the Western Territories to become his wife and begin to become a mother to the children.

Bliss Home is pleased to present Nature's Splash of Colors, an exhibit by international award winning photographer, Dennis Sabo. Nature's Splash of Colors is an interpretation of the "growing interest and concern for our environmental impact and fragile ecosystems". Each photo is taken of natural, common subjects which are refined into an interpretive collage of color, motion and textures.

Dennis Sabo hails from Loudon, Tennessee where he specializes in contemporary fine art abstract, landscape and seascape photography. Dennis' photography has been featured in a variety of books and magazines, like Blue Planet, Living Southern Style and Ocean Conservancy.

Mystery and Mayhem Dinner Theater is teaming up with Volunteer Princess Cruises to present a memorable dining experience filled with mystery, deception and a delicious meal.
“Murder at the Café Noir” is an interactive murder mystery that will be performed while guests enjoy a three-course plated dinner and cruise the still waters of the Tennessee River. The Knoxville skyline creates the perfect scene for this show that is sure to keep the audience guessing.
This unforgettable evening will take place every Thursday night in April and May, beginning on April 4, 2013. The yacht departs from Volunteer Landing Marina at 7:00 pm. For only $59.95 per person, guests not only receive a fantastic meal on a two hour cruise, but they also experience a chilling show in a fun atmosphere that cannot be beat.

Farragut Arts Council: Artworks by Barbara Gray

The Town of Farragut Arts Council presents Barbara Gray as the featured artist for March and April. Her work is featured in specially designed cases on the second floor of the rotunda in the Farragut Town Hall.

A graduate of the Memphis Academy of Arts, Gray's exhibit highlights drawings and paintings that feature people and abstract elements that are subjects in much of her work and contain expressive light and energy, distortion and sometimes humor.

The Farragut Town Hall is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is located at 11408 Municipal Center Drive directly across from the Farragut Branch Post Office.
