Set in 1930's. When Elyot and Amanda, a formerly married couple, meet by chance while honeymooning with new spouses at the same hotel, old sparks reignite and the two impulsively elope. But, after only a few days of being reunited, their alternating passions of love and anger remind them of why they divorced in the first place. Matters only escalate when their aggrieved recent spouses arrive and new partnerships are formed.

Marble Springs: Stargazing Camping Event

Marble Springs State Historic Site is proud to present this special Stargazing camping event on Saturday August 10th from 5:00pm to Sunday August 11th at 11:00am. This event will be instructed by Mr. Garry Noland. Mr. Noland has been an adjunct instructor of Astronomy at the University of Tennessee for 11 years.

The lecture topic will be Meteor showers. Topics to be discussed will include the planets Mercury, Mars, and Jupiter. The primary event will be observing the Perseids meteor shower, which is one of the more spectacular events. The radiant point for this shower will be in the constellation Perseus.

The fee is $25.00 per camp set up (up to two tents per spot). This fee needs to be paid in advance. Please pay by check, which can be made out to Marble Springs. If you planning to camp, you can set up your tent any time after 5:00pm. If you are not camping and would like to come anyway, the cost will be $10.00 per person, and the lecture will begin at midnight. Marble Springs will supplies wood, water, trash cans and bathroom facilities.

All activities take place at the Marble Springs State Historic Site: 1220 West Governor John Sevier Highway, Knoxville, TN 37920. In case of cancellation due to weather, attendees will be notified and a refund will be offered.

Many gardeners find shady areas difficult because of poor site conditions or limited plant selection. Join Brian Campbell, the Gardens answer man, on a journey with lots of shady characters. Come and learn what herbaceous plants, shrubs and trees thrive in shady and less than ideal conditions. This class is geared toward the beginner with a focus on different site conditions and plants that add interest to the dark corners of your landscape through variegated foliage, colorful berries and interesting bark. Half of the two hour class will be in a classroom and the rest of the time will be spent walking through the KBGA’s extensive shade gardens.

Pre-registration is required. Cost: members $7 / non-members $ 12

Second Saturday Concert at the Cove

(All Ages) Join River Sports Outfitters as they host a family campout at Ijams Nature Center. Families will have the opportunity to camp on the lawn, as well as participate in fun outdoor activities such as climbing walls, night hikes, food, movies and more! He must cope both with the strong-willed actions of his three older daughters—each one's choice of husband moves further away from the customs of his faith—and with the edict of the Tsar that evicts the Jews from their village.
