"As it is my first season as KSO Music Director, I'm ecstatic to conduct these holiday concerts," said Aram Demirjian. "By getting to program some fantastic pieces of music by Robert Wendel and Richard Rodgers, I hope to fill the auditorium with hope and joy for the holiday season. We've got classical pieces such as Leroy Anderson's Sleigh Ride, and music from the films Home Alone and Polar Express. The theme, "A World of Joy," will also provide plenty of traditional tunes for folks to hum along to, I hope. Category: Kids, family and Music

WDVX presents Suzy Bogguss' Swingin' Little Christmas December 16 at The Standard, 416 W Jackson Ave. Knoxville, TN 37902. Doors open at 6:30PM and the show begins at 7:30PM.

Suzy Bogguss' Swingin' Little Christmas is a joyous, festive evening of traditional songs and spontaneity with one of country music's most pristine and evocative vocalists. With the release of the Illinois native's 1989 major label debut, Somewhere Between, Suzy quickly became one of the key artists that defined those golden days of '90s country. She scored a string of Top 10 singles with country radio staples like "Outbound Plane," "Drive South," "Hey Cinderella," "Letting Go" and "Aces," and her 1991 album of that name was certified platinum.

The musicianship showcased in Suzy's Christmas show is jaw-dropping, and her rich and fluid voice takes listeners through sentimental songs like: "I'll Be Home for Christmas" to her own raucous "Two Step Round The Christmas Tree." It's a fun-filled night of all the Christmas classics sprinkled with some of Suzy's hits through the years and select songs from her recent release, Lucky. The whole family will enjoy this Swingin' Little Christmas Show.

Tickets $25 in advance/ $30 day of show.
