A gallery opening talk and reception will be hosted at the church on Sunday, March 12, at 12:15 p.m. The public is invited.
Although my primary medium is ceramics, I consider myself a painter first. Through brushwork, I feel harmony with nature. Like a speck in the landscape of a classic Chinese painting, I am infinitely small, yet essential in nature. Interweaving different strands from different cultures and countries, my art reflects the multicolored pattern of my life,” said Kim.
ORUUC is located at 809 Oak Ridge Turnpike. Free and open to the public, Gallery hours are Monday – Thursday, 9 am to 3 pm. and Sunday 9:30 am to 1 pm. For more information call (865)483-6761.

Oak Ridge Playhouse: The Odd Couple
Category: Theatre
Neil Simon’s most popular and enduring comedy comes to the Playhouse for the first time in nearly 50 years. Felix Unger, recently separated from his wife, shows up on the doorstep of fellow divorcee, Oscar Madison. Feeling sympathy for his depressed (and possibly suicidal) friend, Oscar takes Felix in and they ultimately become roommates. It does not take long, however, for the inevitable clash between the neurotic neat-freak and the slovenly grouch to result in a hilariously strained battle of wills.

The 6th Annual Circus Extravaganza is under construction now -- in the midst of holiday celebrations and the shortening of days. But while the dark rises, we are busy imagining "The Adventures of Neverland" -- a retelling of the Peter Pan story where the Darling children are transported (by flying OF COURSE) to a circus called Neverland. There will be pirates, lost girls, Captain Hook, Peter Pan, Wendy and Tinkerbell. The show is once again part of the Pellissippi Community College's performing arts series.
The circus is a fundraiser for Dragonfly Aerial Arts Studio's Community Outreach Circus classes. Over the past five years, Dragonfly’s circus programs have reached hundreds of local at-risk youth, giving them opportunities to do things they never imagined possible! Experience has shown that circus arts help instill self-confidence, trust, teamwork and cooperation, increase self-esteem, and provide a sense of accomplishment.
Tickets: $12 Adults, $10 Kids and Seniors, $8 Pellissippi Students. At Pelissippi Clayton Performing Arts Center, 10915 Hardin Valley Rd Knoxville, TN 37933. More Info www.dragonflyaerialartsstudio.com

This new musical, based on the best-selling novel and hit movie, will open Friday, March 3 at Walters State Community College in Morristown and play for two weekends. When “The Bridges of Madison County” debuted in New York in 2014, audiences were swept away by the lush and romantic score, that told the story of two star crossed lovers through Americana music from across the heartland. Encore’s production includes a live orchestra onstage performing the country and folk inspired music. The storyline follows the Italian-American wife and mother Francesca, who lives a dutiful life on a quiet Iowa farm, and looks forward to a rare four days alone while her family heads to the 1965 State Fair. When a charismatic photographer pulls into her driveway seeking directions, Francesca’s passion for life is reignited. What happens within the next four days leaves Francesca with the most difficult choice of her life. Either way, her world will never be the same. The production is directed by Micah-Shane Brewer, musical direction by Sheryl Lawrence Howard, and stage managed by Debra Williams.
Performances are March 3, 4, 10 and 11 at 8:00 p.m. and March 5, 11 and 12 at 2:00 p.m. There will also be a “Pay What You Can” preview performance on Thursday, March 2 at 8:00 p.m. Performances will be held at the Walters State Community College Inman Humanities Theatre located on the Morristown campus.
