Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition

Since its indoctrination, the art department at Pellissippi State Community College has hosted an annual juried student exhibition. This annual exhibition exemplifies the hard work of both the students and the studio art faculty. During each exhibition, a purchase award (Best of Show) is awarded to a deserving student. That work of art is then placed in a permanent collection at the college. For 2021, the exhibition will be held for the first time virtually.

Any PSCC student from a past or present studio art class in the last two years, are welcome to apply for the exhibition.

The jurors for the exhibition are Professor Jeff Lockett, Associate Professor Caroline Covington, Professor Herb Rieth, and Professor Jennifer Brickey.

The Exhibition will run from April 1 through May 3.

Dogwood Arts: Trails & Open Gardens

Knoxville’s iconic dogwood trails date back to 1955 and today cover more than 85 miles in 12 neighborhoods throughout the city. Take a drive, a walk, or a bike ride and enjoy the scenic natural beauty of our region!

2021 FEATURED TRAIL: HOLSTON HILLS
Established in 1956, the Holston Hills Dogwood Trail is located in an architecturally diverse neighborhood that offers sweeping views of the Holston River alongside panoramic vistas of the rolling East Tennessee hills. Here you will find an eclectic and historic mix of estates, cottages, and ranch homes which were built between 1920 and 1960. Beautiful lots in this neighborhood tend to be situated on big, rolling hills with old growth trees and an abundance of spring flowering dogwoods.
