WHITE CHRISTMAS, FRIDAY, DEC 09, AT 7:30PM
(DOORS OPEN AT 6:30PM)
Travel back in time and see this 1954 holiday classic as it should be seen: in a historic theater originally built as a movie palace surrounded by other movie-lovers, enjoying some popcorn and a cold (or piping hot!) drink. Two war buddies (Bing Crosby and Danny Kane) fall for two sisters (Rosemary Clooney and Vera-Ellen) and follow the girls to a resort owned by their former commanding officer, who is in danger of losing the place. This movie is 2 hours long and is rated G.
NATIONAL LAMPOON'S CHRISTMAS VACATION
SATURDAY, DEC 10, AT 7:30PM
(DOORS OPEN AT 6:30PM)
Travel back in time and see this 1989 holiday classic as it should be seen: in a historic theater originally built as a movie palace surrounded by other movie-lovers, enjoying some popcorn and a cold (or piping hot!) drink. As the holidays approach, Clark Griswold (Chevy Chase) wants to have a perfect family Christmas, so he pesters his wife, Ellen (Beverly D'Angelo), and children, as he tries to make sure everything is in line, including the tree and house decorations. However, things go awry quickly. Cousin Eddie (Randy Quaid) and his family show up unplanned and start living in their camper on the Griswold property. Even worse, Clark's employers renege on the holiday bonus he needs. The movie is 1 hour and 37 minutes long and is rated PG-13.
ELF
SUNDAY, DEC 11, AT 2:00PM
(DOORS OPEN AT 1:00PM)
Buddy (Will Ferrell) was accidentally transported to the North Pole as a toddler and raised to adulthood among Santa's elves. Unable to shake the feeling that he doesn't fit in, the adult Buddy travels to New York, in full elf uniform, in search of his real father. As it happens, this is Walter Hobbs (James Caan), a cynical businessman. After a DNA test proves this, Walter reluctantly attempts to start a relationship with the childlike Buddy with increasingly chaotic results. The movie is 1 hour and 37 minutes long and is rated PG.
Free parking is available after 6pm in the State Street parking garage located behind the Theatre.
