A Muse Knoxville holiday fundraising event that allows grandparents and grandchildren to come together to enjoy breakfast, gingerbread house decorating, and museum playtime! Tickets are $30 each for members and $35 each for non-members. Each ticket includes one grandparent plus one grandchild. For additional grandchildren, guests will need to purchase additional tickets. Tickets include a gingerbread house to be decorated, swag bags for each child, catered breakfast, and all-day admission for play after the event!

This Knoxville tradition combines a cast of over 90, moving narration, realistic sets, authentic costumes and live animals to create a beautiful and powerful presentation of the Christmas story.

Join us for historic Christmas cheer! On Saturday, December 10 from 6pm to 9pm and Sunday, December 11 from 5pm to 8pm, tours will be offered every thirty minutes. See the historic house all lit by candlelight and decorated in a festive mix of historic and modern styles by our docents! Learn about the advent of Victorian Christmas in all its glory, join in classic Victorian parlor games, shop local vendors for gifts for family and friends, and celebrate the season with us.

Reservations are strongly encouraged. Tours can accommodate up to 15 people and will last about 45 minutes. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children (ages 6 - 17), and FREE for members and children 5 & under.

Mabry-Hazen House’s holiday exhibit titled "Holiday Greetings: A Century of Christmas Cards” will return! Nearly 100 years of holiday cards addressed to the Hazen family will be on display for visitors to learn about this sentimental holiday tradition. Reproductions of Christmas cards from the collection will be available for sale.

Klezmer

Knoxville klezmer band Dor L’Dor returns to the Laurel Theater for this year’s Hanukkah concert. Formed in 1999 by Ken and Susan Brown, the band currently includes about a dozen musicians from a variety of musical backgrounds, including classical training and jazz performance. Klezmer originated in Eastern Europe and borrows from various musical traditions of that region as well as from religious liturgy, musical theater, and American jazz.

We're so excited to welcome Tab Benoit & The Dirty Dozen Brass Band to the Bijou's annual Jubilee! We invite you to join us for a celebration of the historic Bijou Theatre, which serves as the primary fundraiser to support the ongoing preservation and operations of this legendary venue.

VIP tickets are limited and include access to our pre-show party at Bistro at the Bijou featuring an open speakeasy bar and a spread of cajun culinary delights cooked up by Martha at the Bistro. Carouse around the historic theatre & restaurant while enjoying Crescent City amusements, a silent auction, and behind the scenes glimpses of the 206-year-old Lamar House Hotel. Guests are encouraged to wear festive n’awlins attire. Proceeds from the 2022 Jubilee will support the ongoing preservation of the 206-year building that houses the beloved Bijou Theatre & Lamar House Hotel and provide funding to make our programs and events affordable and accessible to all members of our community.

Tour de Lights is presented by Visit Knoxville and Bike Walk Knoxville!

Tour de Lights is a fun, free, family friendly holiday bike ride! Participants are encouraged to get in the holiday spirit by decorating themselves and their bikes. The event engages neighborhoods and businesses, along with others who come out to view the festivities.

Save the date! Bike Walk Knoxville and Visit Knoxville couldn't be more excited for Tour de Lights 2022, which will be hosted on Saturday, December 10 at 5:30 pm! The ride will start at Suttree Landing Park this year and end in Market Square. We can't wait to celebrate the season with everyone!

The annual Holiday Market kicks off at 10am with sales in the downtown Brick & Mortar shops and Street Vendors on Market Street along with Christmas Music on the street. The Cookie Crawl will kick off at 1pm, and end at 4pm, during this time all the participating shops will give out FREE Cookies, along with free photo opportunities with Santa & Mrs. Claus and The Grinch.

Our dance party this month will be Saturday, December 10th at Broadway Academy of Performing Arts. The cost will be $10 per person. Water and light snacks are provided. A group class is included in admission, and will begin at 6pm. The dance party will start at 7pm and end at 9pm.
