Category: Theatre

Presented by The Clayton Center for the Arts
"The Last 5 Years" written and composed by Jason Robert Brown
THE LAST 5 YEARS is a contemporary song-cycle musical that ingeniously chronicles the five year life of a marriage, from meeting to break-up... or from break-up to meeting, depending on how you look at it. As the story begins, Cathy is at the end of the relationship and Jamie is at the beginning. With inter-cutting scenes, we watch Jaime move forward in time as Cathy moves backward. Written by Jason Robert Brown, THE LAST FIVE YEARS is an intensely personal look at the relationship between a writer and an actress told from both points of view.

Category: Film

One of British cinema's most enduring and atmospheric film noirs, The Third Man has been hailed as a cinematic masterpiece. The title resides among numerous Top 100 Greatest Films lists including the American Film Institute (AFI), AMC's Filmsite, IMDB, and more. Starring Joseph Cotten & Orson Welles, The Third Man finds pulp novelist Holly Martins traveling to shadowy, postwar Vienna, only to find himself investigating the mysterious death of an old friend, black-market opportunist Harry Lime. Renowned film critic Roger Ebert praises the classic saying, "Of all the movies I have seen, this one most completely embodies the romance of going to the movies." Don't miss a moment of this endlessly rewatchable classic on Friday, July 27 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, July, 29 at 2 p.m. Tickets are on sale now.
