Summer Movie Magic presented by Denark Construction is a long-standing tradition celebrating our legacy as a movie palace. Moviegoers will travel back in time and see these classics, as they should be: in a historic theater originally built as a movie palace surrounded by other movie-lovers, enjoying some popcorn and a cold drink. This year, we are pulling out all the stops with a lineup of blockbuster hits! And true to tradition, hear the Mighty Wurlitzer organ fill the auditorium with magnificent music prior to the movie. Experience some of your favorite classics on the big screen!

About Grizzly Goat: Grizzly Goat's music is as the band's name suggests, undomesticated. Grizzly's blend of folk-rock spans the entire breadth of the Americana genre; from soft and sincere campfire ballads to rocking electric harmonica solos on top of pounding drums and flailing banjo. The band is hardworking and tireless. They’ve brought their rootsy compositions from coast to coast in their white passenger van. Whether at a festival or a small scale BBQ joint, Grizzly Goat's aim is to connect with their audience on an individual level, building a relationship with each listener. Specifically, the band has supported acts such as Greensky Bluegrass, Jim Avett, River Whyless, Town Mountain, Jamestown Revival, and Brett Dennen, along with playing at such festivals as the John Hartford Memorial Fest, Treefort Music Festival, Mayesfest, Forest Fest, Decatur BBQ Blues and Bluegrass Fest, Zion Canyon Music Fest, and the kick-off for the Cold Mountain Music Festival.

The WDVX Blue Plate Special® is a live performance radio show held at noon, with your host Red Hickey, Monday through Thursday at the Knoxville Visitor Center. On Fridays WDVX takes the Blue Plate Special to Barley’s Taproom & Pizzeria for “The Big Plate”, then back to the Visitor Center on Saturday with your host Evie Andrus.

Love, Loss, and What I Wore is written by Nora and Delia Ephron based on the book by Ilene Beckerman. It is organized as a series of monologues about women's relationships and wardrobes, and the intersection of the two.
