Theatre Knoxville Downtown: Auditions for The Odd Couple

Category: Auditions, Comedy, Free event and Theatre

AUDITIONS
The Odd Couple (female version)

Performances:
Aug. 20 – Sep. 12 (Fri/Sat @ 8pm, Sun @ 3pm) plus Thu, Aug 26 @ 8pm

Summary:
Unger and Madison are at it again! Florence Unger and Olive Madison, that is, in Neil Simon's hilarious contemporary comic classic: the female version of The Odd Couple. Instead of the poker party that begins the original version, Ms. Madison has invited the girls over for an evening of Trivial Pursuit. The Pidgeon sisters have been replaced by the two Constazuela brothers. But the hilarity remains the same. This show will be set in 1985.

Audition Times:
• Monday, June 28, 6:30-8:30 pm
• Tuesday, June 29, 6:30-8:30 pm
Possible Call Backs on Wednesday, June 30 at 7:00 pm

Rehearsals begin July 1.

No monologue is necessary. The audition will consist of cold readings from the script. A headshot and resume are recommended but not required. Please bring a detailed list of conflicts from July 1 - September 12. Social distancing will be encouraged during the audition process. Masks are optional. OPTIONAL: Save time and paper by filling out your audition form and uploading your headshot and/or resume ahead of time here: https://forms.gle/qF2QBbjeMXgKC6VB6

Preschool Summer Camp focuses on child-led, age-appropriate, and experiential learning for children ages 3-5. Most of the day is spent outdoors, exploring nature and making a strong connection with the environment. Children learn through play, discovery, and inquiry. Not only do children develop a solid foundation for lifelong learning but also cultivate a love of nature that is the basis for a conservation ethic later in life. Each session is a combination of outdoor play, nature hikes, and animal presentations. Special crafts, art projects, and/or hands-on activities throughout the week allow campers to explore different topics based on their interests. Preschool camp is held Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.-12 p.m.

Category: Classes, workshops, Health, wellness, Kids, family and Science, nature

Start date: June 7, 2021
End date: July 30, 2021

Who is ready for summertime? The snow is fun, but nothing compares to the freedom of summer. With that, we are thrilled to announce our 2021 summer camp sessions! New this year will be a camp for 12-14 year-olds in June and a week of half-days for 4-5 year-olds. Check out our website to see the camp descriptions and register: https://ag.tennessee.edu/utg/Pages/camps.aspx.

We have limited camp scholarships available.

Our plan is to have camp in-person while following university policies, especially regarding the Covid-19 situation. Spaces are extremely limited, so register early to reserve your space! If, after registering, you determine your camper will not be able to attend you can apply the fee to a different week in 2021 or 2022 (or request a refund). Contact Whitney Welch if you have any questions about camp.
