Clayton Center for the Arts: 3 Redneck Tenors Christmas Spec-Tac-Yule-Ar
Category: Music
December 14 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
$25 – $35
The 3 Redneck Tenors are a new breed in the “tenor genre” – their musical comedy featuring classically trained veteran artists is like the Blue Collar Comedy Tour goes to Carnegie Hall – down home laughs with big city music! As a result, it has been said that if Larry the Cable Guy, Il Divo, and Mrs. Doubtfire had a baby, that child would be The 3 Redneck Tenors. Written by opera-veteran Matthew Lord with music arranged by award-winning composer Craig Bohmler, and starring Mr. Lord, Blake Davidson, and Grace Lord, The 3 Redneck Tenors were top finalists on “America’s Got Talent” and have been thrilling audiences since 2006.
Finally, these singin’ songbirds of the trailer park have seen it all, sing it all, and make us laugh ’till we double over, reminding us that in life, it’s not just the destination, it’s the journey. Get ready for one side splitting ride as we go on an excursion only The 3 Redneck Tenors could have had… delighting audiences with their vocal prowess and a smorgasbord of songs, ranging from Country to Broadway to Classical and everything in between!
Clayton Center for the Arts, 502 East Lamar Alexander Parkway, Maryville, TN 37804. Information/tickets: 865-981-8590, www.ClaytonArtsCenter.com

Event by Stanford Eisenberg Knoxville Jewish Day School KJDS
At World's Fair Park - Knoxville
Join us for Unite Through Light: In Solidarity with our Brothers and Sisters in Israel, for a celebration of unity and diversity! Chanukah, the Festival of Lights, commemorates the triumph of a spiritually strong Jewish people over darkness more than 2100 years ago. This year, we come together to illuminate the World’s Fair Performance Lawn with the vibrant light of the Menorah. The Menorah symbolizes Jewish pride, unity, and a universal message for people of all faiths. In these challenging times, the Chanukah candles remind us of the light of goodness and Godliness that warms our hearts. Since 2001, Chabad of Knoxville has organized public Menorah lightings and community celebrations, and in recent years has partnered with the Knoxville Jewish Alliance and other Jewish organizations, amplifying the universal message of Chanukah. This year, with Mayor Kincannon's support, we're taking it to new heights with a concert by Nissim Black, a Chassidic African-American rapper living in Jerusalem.
5:00 p.m. - Pre-concert festivities
6:00 p.m. - Grand menorah lighting ceremony
6:30 p.m. - Concert begins
Location: World’s Fair Performance Lawn
Let's come together to foster unity, celebrate diversity, and share the beauty of our traditions with the wider community. Nissim's inspiring story and unique background will connect us all. Don't miss this unforgettable evening of entertainment and enlightenment. Unite Through Light will also have kosher Israeli food for purchase and many other fun and cultural opportunities for Knoxville-area families. From 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. kids can enjoy inflatables, games, and crafts (weather dependent). The concert is free and open to the public.
We're pleased to share that Chef Laurence Faber from Potchke will offer an Israeli Schwarma Dinner at the event. This authentic and delectable cuisine must be purchased in advance, so please visit the link below and complete the dinner order form: www.chanukahinknoxville.com/6198921

Her work is mainly from experimentation with the mediums and from a passion for exploring color and textures. Her degrees are in Human Ecology from the University of Tennessee. She has been a member of Art Market Gallery since 2018.
Megan Wolfkill explores the nature of queerness as a fractured amalgamation of experiences, expectations, and personal truths. Her paintings tap into her sense of touch and include experimentation with two-sided paintings, mirroring, and iridescent and reflective materials. Wolfkill is pursuing her Masters of Fine Arts in Studio Art with a concentration in Painting + Drawing at the University of Tennessee – Knoxville, and will graduate in May 2024. She is a finalist in the 2024 Miami University Yeck Young Painters Competition, and recently presented at SECAC in Richmond, VA.
