GREG TARDY PLAYS GREG TARDY

Wednesday, March 4, Noon to 1pm
The Square Room
Like Women in Jazz, Stride Piano, Greg Tardy plays Greg Tardy and more! on Facebook share on Twitter
Saxophonist Greg Tardy is undoubtedly one of the great tenor saxophonists and composers of his generation. He has recorded dozens of albums, worked as a sideman with the likes of Elvin Jones, Tom Harrell, Bill Frisell, and Dave Douglas and appeared on major jazz festivals around the globe. He also happens to call Knoxville home. Although Tardy does perform regularly around Knoxville, he very rarely performs his own music with his own band. This performance is the exception. With Andrew LaPrise, piano; Clint Mullican, bass; Keith Brown, drums; Vance Thompson, trumpet.
