Appalachian Equality Chorus: Enchanted Appalachia: A Fae Folk Masquerade

Prepare for a night where the veil between our world and the faery realm grows thin, as the Appalachian Equality Chorus invites you to join them for an unforgettable evening of whimsy, mischief, and magic at Enchanted Appalachia: A Fae Folk Masquerade. This night of revelry, on Saturday, March 8, from 7-11 PM at the Old City Performing Arts Center, will deliver a mesmerizing experience in support of the Chorus’s mission to promote inclusivity, diversity, and community through the universal language of song.
Immerse yourself in the enchantment of the fae world featuring collaborations with Dragonfly Aerial & Circus Arts Studio, fire dancers, drag entertainers, and live music, all set against the beautiful backdrop of the Old City. Guests are encouraged to don their most magical, otherworldly attire to enjoy this festive night of fundraising. Prizes will include the grand prize of a 60-bottle Wall of Wine, along with additional awards for the best costumes and more surprises throughout the evening. Event Highlights:
• Live Performances: Enjoy a range of performances, including high-flying acts of danger, edgy drag performances and live choir songs that celebrate inclusivity in Appalachian.
• Costume Contest: Prizes for the most magical and creative attire in the spirit of fae folklore and Appalachian mystique.
• Wall of Wine: A chance to win other unique items and experiences, all in support of the chorus.
• Food and Drinks: Light bites and beverages available throughout the night, with cash bar options.
Ticket Information: Tickets are available for $30 in advance and $35 at the door. This event is 18+, and ID is required for entry. Tickets can be purchased online at https://appequalitychorus.simpletix.com or at the door on the night of the event. Casey Field is a portrait and figurative artist who lives and works in Knoxville, Tennessee. Her work blends contemporary sensibilities with classical techniques. She will be presenting the vibrancy of her studio walls to Awaken Coffee with a mixture of color studies and drawings alongside more fully refined paintings.

The Winter Farmers Market is an open-air, producer-only farmers market managed by Nourish Knoxville and held on Saturdays, December – March in the heart of downtown Knoxville. Everything at the Winter Farmers Market is grown, raised, and/or made by our vendors within a 150-mile radius of Knoxville, TN. Products vary by season and include fresh fruits & vegetables, eggs, honey, pasture-raised meats, edible & ornamental plants, cut flowers, bread & baked goods, jams & jellies, coffee, artisan crafts, and more! We offer SNAP & SNAP Doubling services each market day and Nourish Kids – a free kids activity – on the 2nd Saturday of each month.
Parking: Free parking is available in the Market Square, Locust Street, Langley, and State Street parking garages. Short-term parking meters around Market Square are also available at an hourly rate as well.
