Cherokee Heritage Day at James White’s Fort will feature some new activities this year. Among them will be a Cherokee language lesson, a hand drum demonstration, primitive tools for the children to try, and a lecture on the Trail of Tears as 2013 marks the 175th anniversary of the forced removal.
