Experience a collaboration of Gaither Music Group acclaimed gospel artists Jimmy Fortune, Bradley Walker, Mike Rogers, and Ben Isaacs singing songs from their Brotherly Love project.
This dynamic quartet crosses country, bluegrass, and gospel boundaries. Each member brings a wealth of experience to the Gaither Music Group project. Fortune rose to fame as a member of the Statler Brothers and penned some of their biggest hits (“Elizabeth,” “Too Much on My Heart”) before forging a successful solo career when the quartet retired. Walker is a DOVE Award-winning artist with a strong following in country, gospel, and bluegrass. Isaacs has performed with his mother and sisters for years as the GRAMMY® nominated group, The Isaacs. Formerly with the legendary Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, Rogers is one of the most highly respected musicians in bluegrass music.

Born and raised in New York City, Marissa R. Moss is a freelance journalist currently residing in East Nashville, Tennessee. She contributes frequently to Rolling Stone, American Songwriter, Billboard, NPR and the Nashville Scene and has had bylines in FADER, NYLON, Pitchfork, Entertainment Weekly, The Guardian, Politico, Teen Vogue and more. The 2018 recipient of the Rolling Stone Chet Flippo Award for Excellence in Country Music Journalism, Moss has written over fifteen cover stories on artists including Eric Church, Miranda Lambert, John Prine, Margo Price, Guy Clark and Noel Gallagher. Her breakthrough story on the culture of sexual harassment in the world of country radio, Inside Country Radio's Dark, Secret History of Sexual Harassment and Misconduct, for Rolling Stone Country, is widely regarded as a touchstone in Nashville's #TimesUp reckoning.
She is currently at work on her first book, HER COUNTRY: How the Women of Country Music Become the Success Story They Were Never Supposed to Be, to be published by Henry Holt & Company on May 20, 2022.
Marissa has appeared as a guest on The TODAY Show, CBS, Entertainment Tonight, WPLN, the Pop Literacy Podcast and more. She has also been a featured panelist and moderator. She was awarded as Best Music Reporter by the Nashville Scene’s 2019 Best of Nashville.
She has also served a summer as a contributing editor for Hamptons magazine, and is the founder and Editor in Chief of Lockeland Springsteen, a Nashville-based music blog. She has a background in political communications, and worked for a variety of progressive causes in New York and Los Angeles, including Maria Shriver's Women's Conference, the American Foundation for Equal Rights and the Special Olympics World Games. As a bio and copy writer, she has crafted work for influencers, leaders and artists from Shriver, to President Barack Obama, to Grammy-winning musicians and New York City landmark Carnegie Hall.
Marissa was educated at New York University's Gallatin School of the Arts.

Tennessee Artists Association: Monthly Meeting

The Tennessee Artist’s Association will hold its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, November 15 at 7:00 pm at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 6500 Northshore Dr., Knoxville. This meeting is free and open to anyone interested in the arts in East Tennessee. CDC Covid guidelines will be followed. Refreshments will be served.
The program will feature Curt Imerman, a self-taught artist who will be sharing his work and demonstrating his pen and ink technique. Imerman’s main focus is drawing weathered barns he finds in travels across the Midwest, Kentucky, and Tennessee. Imerman keeps a hardbound journal which he plans to publish to preserve and memorialize his love of the historic and beautiful old barns that are disappearing from the landscape at a rapid rate. Imerman has been a juried member of The Art Market Gallery since September 2020.

Big Ears & Cattywampus Puppet Council: Giant Puppet Making & Parade Art 101

Big Ears is excited to announce that it will be partnering with Cattywampus Puppet Council again to bring another community arts parade to Knoxville! Hosted by Cattywampus Puppet Council, these workshops are designed for teachers, community leaders, and any other individuals ages 13 & up who would like to learn how to design and create giant puppets and other parade art for the Big Ears Parade on Saturday, April 1, 2023. In these workshops, we will focus on papier-mâche, cardboard sculpting, rigging, and other methods for making inexpensive parade art. There will not be enough time for participants to complete their own project during this workshop, but each participant will receive a Giant Puppet Making & Parade Art Manual to take home along with hands-on experience and instruction for completing their own design or group project. A group group show, Greetings From Vestal II, composed of multimedia works by the Tri-Star Arts studio artists currently working in the Candoro Marble Building - featuring Lisa Flanary (Studio A), Rachel Sevier Dallery (Studio B), Ashley Pace (Studio C), Risa Hricovsky (Studio D) - opened on Friday, November 11, 2022, and will run through Saturday, January 14, 2023. A public reception will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022 from 5:00- 8:00 pm with artist studios open to visitors.
