Take a nostalgic ride on a 1940’s restored train as we travel through an original Manhattan Project site and into the scenic East Tennessee countryside. Friends from the Southern Appalachian Railway Museum will join us to share stories about the area. On board, enjoy a dinner straight from the cookbook created by original Oak Ridgers, Cooking Behind The Fence, complete with stories from families who came from all over the country to Oak Ridge to help end the war. These early Oak Ridge pioneers used social time and company dinners to ease the strain of doing the unknown. Their delectable dishes will fill your belly with memories of eating at Grandma’s for Sunday dinner. Every diner will receive a copy of this fun, unique cookbook. 40 guests, $90.00 per person.
