Each Second Sunday of the month at 2pm, docents offer free guided tours of Higher Ground, Currents, and traveling exhibitions to the public with tours available in Spanish as well.

From 1-4pm there are art activities for all ages!

On Sunday, April 14, catch a screening of “A History of Concord & Farragut” at Town Hall and tour the Farragut Museum from 1:30-2:30 p.m., then attend an open house at the Campbell Station Inn from 2:30-4 p.m.

There will also be a casual bike ride along the Farragut Dogwood Trail that begins at the Campbell Station Inn and ends at the Echelon Bicycles Beer Garden. Combine these free events with lunch or dinner in one of Farragut’s fine restaurants for a full day of springtime fun!

Discover new routes on these family friendly bike rides through scenic neighborhoods and on local greenways. Rides are approximately eight miles long and are geared to help you learn how to do your own road rides. Riders must wear helmets and have a basic understanding of on-road riding. Riders should wear comfortable clothing and bring any water or snacks you might need. Free & no pre-registration is required. Ages 8+ recommended.

Robert H. Thompson
Robert H. Thompson paints words -- ideas and phrases -- which appear as realistic physical objects existing in landscape settings. The landscape settings are reproductions of paintings by other artists, which Thompson modifies by adding words painted with acrylic paint. (This practice was extensively developed by artist and Chattanooga-area native Wayne White.) Describing the resulting images as "something like illustrated fragments of haiku," Thompson tries to create modestly benign dreamlike (surrealistic) images that might lead viewers to experience modestly benign creative responses as the left sides of their brains (verbal processing) and right sides (visual processing) try to work together to sort things out.

In Repose is a collection of drawings of retired racing greyhounds. While the dogs are known for running at great speeds in short burst upwards of 45 miles per hours, the dogs represented in this work are now adopted into homes and intentionally depicted in a resting state. Greyhounds are one of the oldest breeds of dogs, and they are the only breed named in the Bible (Proverbs 30:29-31, King James Version). Racing greyhounds are often misunderstood. While their racing lives are greatly scheduled, transitioning from an athlete to a pet is a significant change in lifestyle requiring adjustment to new families and living in a home. They are typically gentle, quiet, and loyal dogs, and most find pet homes upon retirement from the racing industry.

Explore your creativity, add to your skills and pursue interests in the fiber arts. Twenty-seven new classes this year. The Festival focuses on the “sheep to shawl” concept - transforming fleece into finished goods and art pieces. Vendors offer demonstrations, supplies, tools, handspun and hand dyed yarn, and finished goods. See the fiber on the hoof and foot--llamas, sheep, goats, and angora rabbits.

Class registration is open now. Register to learn basic skills and advanced techniques in classes, ranging from fiber preparation to weaving on multiple types of looms and felting, knitting, and crochet and dyeing with natural dyes. Some classes will be available for registration the days of the Festival.
